About Us
Marilyn and Stefan welcome you to our smallholding site.  Ten Trees is the name of our house, here on the edge of the village of Walpole Highway. We're located between Wisbech and King's Lynn, just inside the West Norfolk border.

We have around 6 acres of land, including the original smallholding orchard, and we're just starting out in the adventure and business of running a smallholding.  We arrived four years ago with with an Irish draft X cob and an elderly shetland pony and immediately felt at home here.
 Ducks, Bantams, Hens & Geese

Our first additions were an assortment of three Indian Runner ducks, two ducks and a drake, and a group of five bantams led by a Buff Orpington cockerel who provide us with enough eggs for ourselves and some to sell on.  The flock has now been increased with rescued hens, two geese which are all producing eggs.

An assortment of eggs have either gone into the incubator or are being incubated by one of the broody bantams.  We find bantams are excellent for hatching any type of egg.

Berkshire pigs

We now have a small herd of prize winning Berkshire pigs, being reared in the traditional way, for that special pork and ham that only the traditional breeds provide.  Our herd consists of four Berkshire sows and a new young boar.  We like to promote good quality Berkshires in East Anglia.
